1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair

Featuring emerging contemporary African artists Boemo Diale, Zanele Montle, and Cinthia Sifa Mulanga, Kalashnikovv Gallery presented a booth of up and coming artists currently based in South Africa whose careers have led curators and collectors alike to take notice of their work. The gallery also presented work from historical African artist Alfred Thoba, for many years an outsider to the recognition his body of work deserved, re-emerging at a time when the world is looking toward African artists and their creative footprint. Both Cinthia Sifa Mulanga and Alfred Thoba were included in the historic exhibition When we see us: A century of Black figuration in painting curated by Koyo Kouoh at the Zeitz MoCAA.
