Please join us for the exhibition “Anthropolology of Blackness” by Chuma Adam – an emerging artist that works in painting, printmaking, textiles, and multimedia – will be featured in the Kalashnikovv Gallery Viewing Room in August. Her work challenges themes of visibility, or lack thereof, as she dances around the complex tropes of Blackness and self-actualization in the realms of her Black identity. This feature comes off the back of her inclusion in the most recent iteration of Boundless in collaboration with Pablo House. The exhibition will include recent works by Chuma Adam who attempts to excavate a multiplex of complex feelings, and ideologies surrounding Blackness and womanhood while paying homage to the genesis of African art.
