The modern world is driven by visage – images and similes of success. This imagery speaks to layers of information – not only does it speak of an implied narrative, but history and context help provide deeper storylines apparent only to the knowledgeable. Developing on his ongoing metaphor, de Villiers explores the idea of social value through brand hieroglyphics and product placement.
